“Like many of us, I wasn’t handed the easiest start in life. I was raised by a single mom, and we didn’t have much. There weren’t many conversations about how life works or what it takes to thrive — we kind of just survived. I was bullied a lot growing up — at school I wasn't the coolest. At home and with family I was always defiant and rebellious. I was the black sheep of the family, and they made sure I knew it. Even when someone did try to help, I pushed them away. I was naturally defiant, hard-headed, and a rebel through and through. I made a lot of choices I shouldn’t have, and eventually, those choices caught up with me.”
I was living completely contrary to the way happiness is built — chasing comfort, doing what felt good in the moment, avoiding pain, and resisting responsibility. But that kind of living turns into sadness real quick. When you ignore the deeper needs of the soul — purpose, discipline, growth, connection — the emptiness creeps in. I thought I was free, doing whatever I wanted… but really, I was trapped.
Anxiety and stress weren’t occasional visitors—they became my baseline. I felt lost, drained, and disconnected.
I couldn’t concentrate. I was always tired. I was addicted to comfort and pleasure — video games, junk food, alcohol, internet, distractions — anything that let me escape from the reality I didn’t know how to face. I didn't know what actually mattered and had zero motivation to do the things that did! I never did my homework, and when I tried, I’d get overwhelmed, anxious, and give up. I couldn’t follow through on anything I started.
It got so bad that I didn’t graduate high school in the traditional sense. The faculty ended up passing me on a technicality — they literally did the work for me just so I could get a diploma. I wasn’t allowed to walk with my graduating class. And to be honest, I didn’t even feel like I had earned it. That moment hurt more than I expected. It was like a silent wake-up call, but I still didn’t know how to change.
College was no different. I was in and out, dropping classes, drowning under the weight of mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion. My health collapsed. I hit a wall and truly felt like I couldn’t keep going. I didn’t want to keep going.
And in that darkest moment — where nothing felt meaningful — one question came to me:
“Is this really all there is to life?”
That question saved me. Or maybe it woke me up.
I started searching — not for quick fixes or feel-good slogans, but for
truth. I dove into religion, spirituality, the internet, books, science, and data. I didn’t want sugar-coated lies or surface-level advice. I wanted what was real. What actually works. What holds up under scrutiny. What could help me build a life worth living according to hard research and data.
That search turned into an obsession — not just with healing, but with understanding
happiness.
What makes us feel alive, grounded, and fulfilled? And more importantly, how do we
actually create that in our lives?
What started as survival has become my mission. I’ve spent years studying, trying, experimenting, failing, and learning how to build a life rooted in meaning, purpose, and emotional well-being — and now I’m here to share that with others. The data is there its just contrary to many of the things were taught.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
